OTC robots are industrial robots developed by Japan's DAIHEN Corporation (formerly Osaka Transformer Co., Ltd.), founded in 1919. Since 1980, OTC has officially developed arc welding robots, making it one of the few global companies that produce both robots and welding machines.
In 2001, OTC established a wholly-owned enterprise in Shanghai—Otsuka Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.—fully responsible for sales and services in the Chinese market. OTC robot products cover 6 to 7-axis vertical articulated structures, with load capacities ranging from 3kg to 700kg and a repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.08mm. They are suitable for high-precision welding, handling, and other tasks in automotive manufacturing, electronics, oil exploration, and medical fields.
Leveraging over 80 years of technical experience in welding, OTC's arc welding robot systems integrate rich welding process expertise. Known for high welding path accuracy, superior quality, and user-friendly operation, OTC holds a major market share in the automotive industries across Asia and the Americas. In 2015, OTC's Shanghai Technical Center was authorized by the China Welding Association to establish a robot welding training base, providing professional training and certification for the industry.
